How these tiers are decided — is it purely win rate?
No. Each hero's score is a weighted blend of four recorded current-patch signals:
- Pro win rate — 40% (smoothed toward 50% while pro samples are small).
- Pub win rate — 30%
- Pro presence — 20% — how often pros pick or ban the hero.
- Pub presence — 10% — how often pubs pick the hero.
Then hard rules apply:
- S tier needs over 51% pro win rate and over 47% pub win rate.
- Over 50% pro win rate: never below C.
- Under 48% pro win rate: never above C.
- No pro games recorded this patch: F.
- Pro pick/ban presence within the role sets the ceiling: top 10% for S, 30% for A, 50% for B, 70% for C, 90% for D; the bottom 10% stays F.
Heroes are grouped by their most likely position and cut into tiers by rank inside the group. Hover any portrait to see its numbers. This is a ranking signal, not a measured position-specific win rate.
